Eyecare at Home

Eyecare at Home

Eyesite Eyecare Centres offer a caring and personal home visit service for those clients who are unable to access any of our Centres. Being house bound means that your vision is very precious. Our mobile eye care service consists of a full range of portable eye care examination equipment and qualified experienced staff. We visit both individual homes, residential and nursing homes and day Centres.

As a small independent practice functioning in Coventry and Warwickshire, we are able to give our full attention to our patients. Meaning our eyecare at home service is personalised to the individual with an ongoing commitment to aftercare.

Eyecare At Home Appointment

In a typical appointment, we spend around an hour with the patient. This time frame allows us to give our patients:

  • a thorough eye examination
  • explanation of our findings
  • and to organise to dispense spectacles, where indicated.

If these spectacles are indeed required, we personally deliver the spectacles and fit them to the patient. However our service doesn’t stop there! Aftercare visits will be scheduled for residents at regular intervals to undertake spectacle adjustments and minor repairs, to ensure the spectacles are kept in the best condition for the patient. If any problems occur we guarantee to rectify these quickly as we are a local business.

Additional Benefits

Eyesite Eyecare Centres understand that it is important to cater to every need, which is why we offer flexibility in appointments and can see single patients or groups. We now offer a hearing service for those with hearing difficulties.  We can deliver these at home in the same personalised fashion of our eye care at home service, and offer FREE Hearing Tests to all care home patients.

Our capabilities stretch further allowing us to offer additional services such as low vision assessment and low vision aid provision. All our opticians are accredited to the Glaucoma Refinement Scheme which is of particular benefit to older patients who are more at risk of developing Glaucoma. Apart from routine eye testing and glaucoma assessment, we pay special attention to many other age related conditions such as macular degeneration, cataract, dry and sore eyes, diabetes and stroke.

After your eye examination appropriate advice is given, be it for eye care, spectacles or low visual aids (such as magnifiers or CCTC systems). Being your local independent optometrists mean we are happy to see you for aftercare visits at anytime.

If our Eyecare and Hearing Service at home is of interest to you please don’t hesitate to contact us or book an appointment today!
