Sports Vision

Though enjoyable, engaging in sports means our eyes are more vulnerable than normal. This is why Eyesite Eyecare Centres offers high quality sports eyewear in a variety of sports in a bid to promote safety and comfort in sports.

Today, Sports eyewear has come a long way; not only does it protect our eyes but it also increases performance and can even look stylish! However, it must be emphasised that sports eyewear is not a fashion accessory. Protection is required from impact, UV radiation/glare and other environmental irritants. Safety awareness must start young, so that all athletes at whatever level wear sports eyewear to ensure the safety of their vision.

Have a look at the list of the sports we cater for and see if we can offer you the sports eyewear you require. If you can't find something you need contact us to see if we can help you, alternatively make a booking for a Sports Eyewear Appointment!

Walking/Running

Running and Walking is a very popular leisure activity enjoyed by a large majority of the UK. However, a lot of the time people don’t use protective eyewear to protect their eyes. Our eyes can be under risk from UV rays, dirt, wind, insects and other irritants in the atmosphere. Eyesite provides protective eyewear such as sports sunglasses which can have interchangeable lenses for differing light conditions and curved lenses that provide a wide field of vision. The eyewear we stock also protects against environmental irritants and is made ergonomic and head hugging for maximum comfort.

Most eye injuries in skiing occur because the wrong kind of eye protection was worn or none was worn at all. It is essential that the eyes are adequately protected which is why we offer polycarbonate lenses which won’t shatter on impact or due to the cold. Some goggles also have other features such as anti-fog-flow ventilation, 100% UV filtering and antireflective coatings. All of which enable you to see contours of the snow a lot better thus increasing performance. Eyesite can ensure the goggles fit your prescription so there is no need to wear glasses or contact lenses as well.
