Eyesite Eyecare Centres staff have WON in three categories at the national AOP Awards.
The nationwide awards celebrate extraordinary talent and outstanding contribution to optometry services.
Our winners are Suresh Munyal (Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year), Dilesh Makwana (Newly Qualified Optometrist of the Year), Lisa Skelton (Optical Assistant of the Year). We were also runners up for Practice of the Year 2017.
Suresh has been awarded Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year 2017. The title celebrates those who champion contact lens wear and successfully identify ways to expand the presence of contact lenses in their practice. Suresh, who founded Eyesite Eyecare Centres in 1983, has been involved in every aspect of contact lens practice and shares this expertise across all branches at Eyesite. Having won the award (which is sponsored by CooperVision), he said “Winning this award provides an opportunity to spread my enthusiasm for contact lenses even further.”
Dilesh has been awarded Newly Qualified Optometrist of the Year 2017. The title celebrates those who have launched themselves into the early years of their career with gusto. Going above and beyond in the day to day, Dilesh has demonstrated a keen interest in the profession and providing the best possible care for his patients. Having won the award (which is sponsored by Leightons Opticians), he said “It’s an amazing feeling to win this award. It’s a recognition for not just me, but everyone I work with”.
Lisa has been awarded Optical Assistant of the Year 2017. The title celebrates someone who is dedicated to delivering the best possible customer experience and showing outstanding support to their team. Maintaining our domiciliary service, contact lens comfort trials, and customer care programs, Lisa fulfils the title. After winning the award (which is sponsored by Optical Consumer Complaints Service), Lisa said “To win this award is just amazing, and this award is not only for me but all the ladies I work with in Bell Green”
